DRYING | ADSORPTION DRYER
The air conditioning unit from ebbens engineering produces air with a constant moisture content of approximately 2 g / kg. This is achieved through a combination of condensation and adsorption of the moisture from the air. About half of the moisture condenses in the evaporator and the other half is adsorbed (chemisorption on lithium chloride crystals) in an adsorption wheel.
benefits
- The compressor and condensation heat is used for regeneration and partly for heating the conditioned air, making the system relatively energy efficient
- A low moisture content can be achieved, down to a dew point of -10 °C
- The absorption wheel is germicidal
